Cartier has reintroduced a distinct 1920s concept in 2021 with the Nécessaires à Parfum collection.

Not “Precisionism” per se (although one could contend that the casing is remarkably geometric and elegantly embossed) or Art Deco (indeed, they are indeed some opulent compacts), but rather, compacts themselves. The small enamel flat boxes utilized by flapper women (and progressive guys, indeed) to transport lipsticks, powder, or even smokes.

The Cartier Nécessaires à Parfum collection container is designed specifically to contain perfumes.

Each case, of which there are five encompassing Art Deco, Oriental, and Islamic designs from the 1920s to 1930s, includes nine distinct 30ml vials of perfume that may be inserted into each case. They are signatures – the smoky, incense-like L’Heure Mystérieuse XII, the earthy Baiser Volé, and the woody flowery Déclaration — that magnetically secure into each of the cases. A potential predecessor from the period that has culminated in the micro bags we observe.

Each case has been meticulously crafted by a team of artisans—designed by experts, produced by case makers, and chiselled by gem-cutters. The Cartier Nécessaires à Parfum collection cases are compact enough to fit into even the smallest bags, measuring approximately the size of a standard card case, excluding micro bags.

Furthermore, it is not compatible with your cards if you intend to utilize it in that manner. Unless you are content with managing only four to five simultaneously.
