Design elements comprise a panda-tone dial, a tofu store emblem, and dashboard-style subdials.

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Initial D, Seiko has collaborated with Kodansha and series creator Shuichi Shigeno to launch a limited-edition chronograph inspired by the protagonist Takumi Fujiwara’s legendary AE86.

The clocks feature a case diameter of over 40mm and are constructed from stainless steel. The watch's dial showcases a distinctive panda-style two-tone design that reflects the white-and-black color scheme of the Sprinter Trueno, with the "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" logo positioned at the 4 o'clock mark. The subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock replicate the AE86’s dashboard gauges, while the subdial at 6 o’clock features a stylized “D” insignia, alluding to both “drift” and “dream.”

Functionality converges with fandom through quality attributes, such as a quartz movement precise to ±15 seconds monthly, a curved Hardlex crystal, and water resistant rated at 10 bar. Lumibrite-coated hands and indices guarantee visibility in dim lighting, reminiscent of the illumination from a nocturnal street racing.
Each item is uniquely numbered from a total of 1,995 units, referencing the manga's inaugural publishing year. The watch is delivered in a collector's box designed to resemble the AE86's monochromatic paintwork, featuring Initial D insignia and a special illustration card. Priced at ¥65,780 JPY (about $446 USD), the initial batch has sold out, and a second wave of pre-orders is presently available through authorized merchants.
