Hermès H08 Chronograph Jaune de Naples Launches in Carbon-Composite

The 44mm timepiece boasts a graphene-coated carbon fiber case and operates on the H1837 self-winding movement.

Hermès has augmented its modern H08 range with a striking, high-performance watch: the new H08 Chronograph “Jaune de Naples.” This recent version incorporates a chronograph feature, furthering the H08's dedication to merging technical precision with sophisticated style.

The new chronograph maintains the collection's cushion-shaped design while enhancing its prominence with a 44 mm case made from a carbon fiber composite, coated in graphene powder and encircled by a sunburst satin-brushed ceramic bezel with mirror-polished chamfers. The construction prioritizes all-terrain toughness, with an anti-glare sapphire crystal, an embellished caseback, and 10 bar water resistance to accommodate an active lifestyle.

The name “Jaune de Naples” derives from the vivid yellow-varnished seconds and counter hands, which provide a striking contrast against the black-gold-treated and blackened dial. This monochrome background has rhodium-plated Arabic numerals enhanced with Super-LumiNova for superior legibility.

The H08 Chronograph has the Manufacture Hermès H1837 automatic movement in conjunction with a monopusher chronograph module. The integrated design consists of 212 components, 34 jewels, and is calibrated to 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 46-hour power reserve. The Hermès-finished mainplate and bridges exhibit circular graining, snailed patterns, and a scattering of H motifs on the oscillating weight, while the module provides chronograph functions in addition to hours, minutes, a small seconds display at 3 o’clock, and a date indicator at 4:30, all managed via a black PVD-coated titanium crown and monopusher control.
