The French luxury brand Maison Margiela has announced that its new creative director, Glenn Martens, will unveil his inaugural collection at Haute Couture Week this July. The fashion brand says that the Belgian designer will commence with a Maison Margiela Artisanal exhibition for Fall 2025, slated for July 7 to 10 in Paris.

In a statement released to WWD, the brand declared, “This signifies the commencement of an inspiring new chapter for the maison, grounded in our fundamental creative principles and influenced by Margiela’s couture legacy.” Under Glenn's leadership, couture will persist in stimulating creativity for the brand and propel innovative ideas. Maison Margiela was officially designated as a haute couture house in 2012.

Martens was appointed as the new creative director of Maison Margiela last January by the parent company OTB Group. Margiela's ongoing participation in couture week perpetuates the legacy established by John Galliano, who directed the firm for a decade before Martens. Marten's present artistic vision for the house remains confidential at this time. He had occupied the principal creative position at the now-defunct Y/Project for 11 years.
