The debut collection will be presented through private appointments during Paris Fashion Week Men’s this month.

Sander Lak, the creative force behind the esteemed yet now-defunct New York label Sies Marjan, is reentering the fashion industry with the introduction of his eponymous brand. The imprint, styled as Sanderlak, is scheduled to launch at Paris Fashion Week Men’s later this month.
Lak, possessing a Master’s degree in menswear from Central Saint Martins, dedicated five pivotal years to designing both menswear and womenswear at Dries Van Noten prior to establishing Sies Marjan in 2016. Despite support from billionaire couple Nancy and Howard Marks, a CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year award, and prominent retail placement at Barneys New York, the label was compelled to cease operations in 2020 due to the financial repercussions of the COVID crisis.
Sanderlak, partially financed by angel investors, will feature menswear-inspired collections influenced by Lak's diverse upbringing across Malaysia, Gabon, Scotland, and the Netherlands, as well as his continuous inquiry into identity and location. Each collection will focus on a particular place, which will influence the line's themes, colors, textiles, and overall character.
Sanderlak will unveil two principal collections annually. The brand will launch its inaugural collection in Paris via private appointments next month.
