Reversible souvenir jackets and sharply cut chinos become canvases for finely rendered bonsai motifs, rendered in the maison’s signature monochrome language.

WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto has collaborated with TRADMAN’S BONSAI, under the leadership of the innovative Teppei Kojima, to introduce a six-piece capsule collection that transforms traditional Japanese bonsai into a modern fashion interpretation.
The partnership focuses on the “Goyomatsu Moyogi-Mei ‘501’” (Japanese Five-Needle Pine), a bonsai of significant sentimental value to Kojima. This core theme is expressed through striking needlework and prints, fusing Yohji Yamamoto’s sombre, sophisticated style with TRADMAN’S BONSAI’s cultural narrative.
TRADMAN’S BONSAI
The collection features a prominent Reversible Souvenir Jacket, adorned with striking monochrome embroidery of the ‘501’ pine on the back. The other side showcases a complex jacquard-woven collage of TRADMAN’S BONSAI’s most esteemed specimens, such as the Black Pine and Juniper, creating a distinctive camouflage-like fabric. The notion of 'hidden playfulness' persists in a cotton chino fitted jacket and coordinating asymmetrical pocket drawstring trousers, including a bonsai collage inner that introduces an element of depth and exploration to the otherwise austere black exterior.
The collection is set for global release on March 5, 2026, and will be accessible via Yohji Yamamoto’s flagship stores and WILDSIDE’s official online platform, with prices between $110 and $1,200 USD.
