Porsche has unveiled the 2026 Cayenne Electric, transforming its flagship SUV into the brand's most potent production vehicle to yet. The Turbo Electric grade delivers up to 1,139 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque with Launch Control, achieving 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds and completing a quarter mile in 9.9 seconds.

Both launch versions utilize an 800-volt architecture equipped with a 113 kWh battery and technology inspired by Formula E. Porsche asserts a maximum of 400 kW DC fast charging capability, enabling the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in less than 16 minutes, along with up to 600 kW of regenerative braking that manages about 97 percent of routine stops.

The Cayenne Electric retains practicality. The extended wheelbase provides increased rear legroom, cargo capacity ranges from 19.5 to 56.1 cubic feet, in addition to a 3.2 cubic foot front trunk, and the towing capacity reaches 7,716 pounds when well equipped. An Off-Road Design Package and adjustable air suspension enhance the SUV's capability off the pavement. The design remains distinctly Cayenne while adopting a sleeker and more aerodynamic profile. The vehicle features a lowered hood, slender Matrix LED headlights, frameless doors, and a drag coefficient of 0.25, demonstrating Porsche's advancements in aerodynamics. Turbo variants showcase distinctive Turbonite highlights and active aerodynamic blades at the rear.

The Cayenne Electric introduces Porsche's innovative Flow Display cockpit, including the brand's largest display area to date. A curved OLED central screen serves as the focal point of a three-display configuration, complemented by an augmented reality head-up display, an AI-powered Voice Pilot assistance, Mood Modes that adjust lighting and climate, and interior surface heating that warms armrests and door panels.

Significantly, the electric Cayenne does not supplant combustion engines instantaneously. The Cayenne Electric is introduced alongside current gas and plug-in hybrid variants as part of a triad of powertrain strategies, with US price commencing at around $109,000 for the Cayenne Electric and $163,000 for the Cayenne Turbo Electric, with deliveries anticipated in late Summer 2026.
