Capitalising on the success of their prior '101 WWII Model' partnership, Schott and Lee have formally introduced the 2026 Spring/Summer 101J Cowboy Black Denim Jacket and Pants. This recent collaboration delves further into Lee's archives, focusing notably on the late 1930s period of the renowned Cowboy series. By reinterpreting the 101 Cowboy Pants, established in 1925, and the Cowboy Jacket, introduced in 1934, the pair emphasises the foundational styles that laid the groundwork for the brand’s iconic 101 Riders range, released on March 13.

Meticulously designed to adhere to vintage criteria, the matching ensemble is made from 13oz right-hand twill black denim, wholly sourced from Japan. The jacket and pants exhibit historical elements characteristic of the late 1930s, such as genuine buttons, a classic cinch back, and the period's distinctive white, red, and blue tricolour tag. To enhance the stealthy appearance, the hair-on-hide label—initially introduced by Lee in 1937—has been revised in an entirely black finish. This deliberate design decision effectively reconciles the preservation of traditional workmanship with a unified, modern aesthetic appropriate for contemporary attire.
