The architectural design embodies sacai's hybrid philosophy by employing conventional building materials, such as cinder blocks, as a motif for luxury shops.

sacai is initiating a new phase in its global retail strategy with the grand reopening of its flagship store in Beijing at Taikoo Li Sanlitun. The enlarged area, now incorporating a new subterranean level, showcases the brand's first design cooperation with the versatile creative Willo Perron of Perron Studios.

Perron’s design adeptly embodies sacai’s distinctive hybrid look in the store's physical manifestation. The architectural concept establishes intentional tension through the recontextualization of conventional structural parts. The front facade, for example, is inspired by the basic cinder block, manipulating its fundamental form to create an engaging, pleated surface that projects the outer design inward. Internally, pre-fabricated utilitarian systems—such as conventional glass and aluminum—are cleverly transformed into elegant display racks and shelving.

The reopening features an exclusive capsule collection, highlighted by a distinctive item that epitomises the House’s hybridisation: a jacket that combines a denim silhouette with an MA-1 bomber design. Selected products from the Women's Spring/Summer 2026 collections will be available for early release. Perron’s design concept, centred on repurposing quotidian objects, guarantees that the store itself amplifies the aesthetic and intricacy of the garments displayed.
