Omar Afridi and Vuja Dé have amalgamated British and Japanese aesthetics to create an all-black capsule collection emphasising materiality and silhouette.

Omar Afridi and Vuja Dé, albeit situated on opposite hemispheres, constitute an ideal pairing. The two emerging labels target a shared demographic: those who diligently search through stores and websites for avant-garde items. Both companies, originating from London and Japan respectively, have attracted an expanding global audience that is open to their distinctive offerings. They have now chosen London to unveil the inaugural joint collection, “NOIR.”

The realms of Omar Afridi and Vuja Dé have converged uniquely, reducing their extensive vocabularies to an all-black palette that they refer to as a “exercise of restraint.” Consequently, opulent textures and bold silhouettes prevail across the collection. The Harvey Panelled Blouson is distinguished not by colour, but by its double-weave suede fabric and meticulously designed, architecture-inspired panelling. The Rudo Coated Denim Pant features uneven matte and semi-gloss coatings that deteriorate over time, enabling each pair to develop a unique patina. The set is finalised with two leather accessories: the Owen Studded Leather Belt and the Newman Leather Bag.
The Omar Afridi x Vuja Dé “NOIR” pop-up commenced today at the Omar Afridi London boutique. The event resumes tomorrow and includes all four items from the collaboration collection.
