The British Fashion Council is generating excitement for its December 2025 Fashion Awards by unveiling the official nomination lists. The celebration, scheduled for December 1 at Royal Albert Hall in London, will honor both prominent worldwide fashion talents and local UK designers.

The prestigious Designer of the Year award features a competition among the industry's most prominent figures. Jonathan Anderson is being acknowledged for his simultaneous positions at Dior and his namesake brand. JW Anderson and Miuccia Prada are acknowledged for their exceptional contributions at Miu Miu, among notable rebellious figures in fashion such as American designers Rick Owens and Willy Chavarria. British menswear designer Martine Rose is among the few English businesses featured on the Designer of the Year list. Lastly, visionary Glenn Martens is recognized for his contributions to both Diesel and Maison Margiela, for which he has garnered significant accolades.

Nonetheless, the awards extend beyond the international arena; the ceremony establishes a designated space to honor local British talent. The British Menswear Designer of the Year category features prominent industry figures like as Craig Green, Grace Wales Bonner, and Kiko Kostadinov. Simultaneously, the BFC is highlighting emerging talent through the inaugural Vanguard Award, recognizing ascendant figures such as Aaron Esh and Dilara Fındıkoğlu.

Italian icon Brunello Cucinelli will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of his dedication to sustainable luxury, reflecting the evolving principles of fashion. This year's ceremony, featuring a combination of renowned legends and innovative newcomers, promises a night of significant style and merited acknowledgment.
