The 44.5 mm rose gold wristwatch is 15 times more rapid than traditional one-minute tourbillon watches.

The luxury watchmakers at Jacob and Co., known for their motto “inspired by the impossible,” may have surpassed their previous achievements with the God of Time, a record-breaking tourbillon watch featuring an exceptionally remarkable construction and complexity.
The prestigious watch brand, preferred by NFL icon Tom Brady, elevates its offerings with a remarkable new timepiece featuring the Calibre JCAM60 and an exceptionally lightweight 0.27-gram titanium tourbillon carriage movement. With a rotation time of four seconds, the God of Time is marketed by Jacob and Co. as a "horological innovation," complemented by its sleek and striking appearance.
The 44.5 mm rose gold case, inspired by Ionic Greek temple columns, features a magnificent three-dimensional rose gold sculpture honouring Chronos, the Greek deity of time. Jacob and Co. remarked that the design and its impact integrate "the piece into the embodiment of time itself." Referred to as "the Olympus of complications," the proprietary design is exceptional in both form and function, according to the horologist.

Standard tourbillon timepieces complete one spin every 60 seconds, with around 99.5% of tourbillon movements adhering to this standard, according to Jacob & Co. Conversely, Jacob & Co. asserts that its latest groundbreaking timepiece "destroys conventions" with its "extraordinarily rapid tourbillon carriage" as a component of a 283-part mechanism.
The movement, weighing only 0.27 grammes, was created from "a blank page," according to Jacob & Co., utilising a sapphire upper bridge and positioning the movement beneath a blue aventurine slab. The figure of Chronos is meticulously hand-crafted and burnished over several days, enhancing its already remarkable movement. The horologist observes that the figure of Chronos and its creation “is one of the most impressive Métiers d’Art artefacts ever included in a high complication timepiece.”
A pair of stacked barrels powers the remarkably rapid timepiece, which completes its rotation expeditiously in what Jacob and Co. describes as “a Herculean task” in comparison to conventional tourbillon watches. A business that offers over 30 varieties of tourbillon movements in its premium watch collection achieves an unparalleled feat: The God of Time is priced at approximately $360,000. Jacob and Co. asserts that the God of Time resembles a "watch made in heaven," and it is challenging to contest those incontrovertible outcomes.
