TAG Heuer has discreetly launched a limited-edition watch for the forthcoming Lunar New Year: the Carrera Chronograph Year of the Fire Horse. This specific example adopts a more subdued and sophisticated design approach. Rather than adorning the watch face with imaginative representations of the zodiac animal, TAG Heuer offers a champagne-gold sunray-brushed dial featuring a warm ember gradient. In recognition of the Horse's seventh position in the Chinese zodiac, the numeral "7" in the red date window is substituted with the simplified Chinese character for horse ("马").

The watch is encased in a 39mm stainless steel housing and has the Maison's distinctive Glassbox design, a resurrection that honours the domed hesalite crystals of the 1960s and 1970s. The dial is enhanced by 18K 5N rose gold-plated hands and indices, complemented by a vibrant red gradient sub-dial. This is accompanied by a refined and brushed seven-row beads-of-rice bracelet, offering ergonomic comfort and a discreet homage to the historic Heuer bracelets of the mid-20th century.
The watch is driven by the proprietary Calibre TH20-07, a contemporary automatic column-wheel chronograph mechanism, observable via a sapphire caseback adorned with a printed design of a galloping horse. This movement functions at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a substantial 80-hour power reserve. The Carrera Chronograph Year of the Fire Horse is priced at $7,850 USD and is limited to 250 individually numbered units globally, accessible at select TAG Heuer shops and online
