The 2019 LVMH Karl Lagerfeld Prize recipient will present a unique runway show in Florence in January 2026.

Subsequent to the recent news regarding Soshiotsuki’s involvement in Pitti Uomo No. 109, the Florentine trade fair has now disclosed its second significant highlight: Hed Mayner, an Israeli-born designer residing in Paris, will participate in the forthcoming edition as Guest Designer.
Mayner’s aesthetic is defined by a distinctive equilibrium of opposites, integrating power with lightness, and craftsmanship with tailoring. His methodology is characterized as intellectual and nearly architectural, while also engaging in an open dialogue with the flux of the present. The collection centers on the body, utilizing fit, proportions, and mobility of movement to establish a confident, yet unobtrusive, demeanor. He is recognized for apparel that challenges conventions of gender, context, and even gravity through the interpretation of sculptural and enormous forms.
In reply to the invitation, Mayner conveyed appreciation and enthusiasm, asserting, “It is a significant honor to participate in Pitti, which exemplifies authentic support for creativity…” This novel context will motivate me to explore new endeavors. His involvement highlights Pitti Uomo’s persistent dedication to showcasing designers who confront conventional norms while celebrating artistry and innovation.
The event, scheduled for January 13 – 16, 2026, will include a unique runway presentation by Mayner, signifying his inaugural appearance at Pitti Uomo.
