As it approaches its centenary, Silvia Venturini Fendi’s latest collection advances the house’s tradition into a contemporary era, honoring its origins while boldly exploring new creative realms.

The holiday season has arrived, and Fendi is imbued with both joy and nearly a century of history. As the brand nears its centennial, Fendi’s Winter Holiday 2024 collection represents a significant contemplation of its illustrious legacy, featuring audacious stylistic subversions that reconfigure its traditional codes.
This collection, under the creative leadership of Silvia Venturini Fendi, embodies sophistication and irreverence, merging tradition with innovation. Central to the brand's past is the Fendi Tartan, a fabric that epitomizes its heritage.

In partnership with Prickly Thistle, an artisanal Scottish firm renowned for its dedication to workmanship, the Fendi Tartan has been reinterpreted as a contemporary emblem, commemorating significant dates and familial heritage — namely 1925, 1997, and 2009. They originate from the inception of the Italian house, marking the introduction of the distinctive Baguette and Peekaboo bags, interwoven into a narrative that serves as both a historical account and a winter essential. The Fendi Tartan, featuring natural hues and yellow thread, serves as a dynamic archive and emblem that perpetuates the Italian house's tradition in contemporary fashion.

A familial bond permeates its menswear, as Fendi articulates, “I often perceive Fendi as a clan, and Fendi Clan is also the designation of the men’s collection.”

The collection juxtaposes classicism with youthful vigor and playful elements, featuring tailored trousers and blousons that provide structure, while opulent shearling coats and velvet corduroy workwear contribute a cozy, rugged luxury ideal for winter's cold, evoking the warmth of home and the comfort of familial connections.

The whimsical “Fendilicious” patterns of fast-food-inspired designs, featured on FF jacquard Baguettes and casual items such as tees and sweatshirts, infuse humor and embody the joy of the present, encouraging wearers to commemorate the festive season with a blend of luxury and levity.
The festive season in womenswear unfolds with comparable sophistication. Layered ensembles featuring miniskirts and pants, alongside big coats, encourage the wearer to redefine luxury according to their own standards. The collection exudes a casual, nearly easy elegance, ensuring that each ensemble is simultaneously sophisticated and distinctly contemporary.

Accessories enhance this holiday tale, providing functional elements of whimsy and genuine, joyful luxury. Bags like the traditional Baguette and Peekaboo shapes are reinterpreted with metallic finishes, sequins, and a delicate structure. The materials encompass tactile leathers and distinctive variations such as the Florentine paper croco, a handcrafted item utilizing an ancient technique derived from Chinese paper-making – a tribute to the heritage of Fendi’s founder, who initially acquired her skills in Florence. Whether one is donning attire to combat the cold or seeking a distinctive adornment, these items are designed for durability and legacy.

Fendi's Winter Holiday 2024 collection transcends mere seasonal celebration, presenting a narrative of fashion as heritage, wherein the garments are valued and reinterpreted by successive generations.
