The collection draws inspiration from 1960s and 1970s cinema and includes objects labeled "Made in Japan."

BEAMS Plus and Studio Nicholson have collaborated on their inaugural capsule collection. The 19-piece "Made in Japan" collection is inspired by a mutual admiration for film legends from the 1960s and 1970s, including Columbo, George Peppard, and Annie Hall. The collaboration is founded on the principle of "timeless menswear that endures," integrating Studio Nicholson's simple, modular philosophy with BEAMS Plus's commitment to heritage-inspired Japanese craftsmanship and high-quality materials.

Classic silhouettes undergo meticulous enhancements: The PETER trench coat is crafted from water-repellent gabardine twill, meticulously hand-glued by artisans and lined with soft cotton poplin check; the PAUL sports blazer features charcoal marl and navy variations made from super-high-density tropical wool, combining relaxed tailoring with gold Americana-inspired buttons; and the ALVY double-pleat trousers reflect Alvy Singer’s effortless elegance in supple toffee corduroy, breathable tropical wool, or crisp cotton twill available in tan, cream, charcoal marl, and navy.

Casual essentials adopt contemporary dimensions: the LISA shirt redefines the Oxford with an oversized, relaxed silhouette in optic white, chalky pink, or brown/white stripe; the HOLLY denim pant, produced on Okayama’s shuttle looms from blended raw cotton, is available in faded wash or indigo; and the GOLIGHTLY loopback jersey sweatshirt features dropped shoulders and discreet gusset detailing in grey marl or navy.

The collection will debut in the U.K. through Studio Nicholson at its London headquarters on September 18. This will be succeeded by a Japanese launch on September 19 via BEAMS PLUS and Studio Nicholson's Tokyo facilities. Priced between ¥19,800 and ¥143,000 JPY (about $135 to $973 USD), each item is available in men's sizes XS to XL, encouraging a new generation of consumers to cultivate a timeless and versatile wardrobe.
