Panerai’s Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo experience extends beyond the wrist, offering collectors a narrative-driven exploration of the brand’s heritage.
In discussing a watch, we frequently address the experience of wearing it. Panerai opted to enhance the experiential aspect, and in recent years, it has been converting ownership into engagement through its exclusive program of customised adventures that immerse collectors in the brand’s narrative. The Submersible Chrono Marina Militare PAM01699, Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean PAM01643, and Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech PAM00961 are among the Experience Editions previously launched that have rendered the extraordinary attainable for intrepid Panerai enthusiasts.
The new Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo Experience Set represents the most comprehensive embodiment of this Panerai concept, combining two historically significant Radiomir timepieces (PAM01729 and PAM01730) with an immersive Italian adventure that retraces the brand’s origins. Ownership grants access to a four-day expedition in September 2026, first in Florence, the origin of Panerai, subsequently traversing significant military and nautical locations associated with its heritage linked to the Italian Navy, and culminating along the Ligurian coast. The collection includes two unique yet complimentary Radiomir models, each measuring 47mm and grounded in Panerai's historical dimensions.
The Bronze Radiomir PAM01729
Panerai
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01729 is constructed from bronze, with a case engineered to mature and acquire a distinctive patina influenced by the wearer’s environment and usage. This reference features slender wire lugs, a conical screw-down crown, and a domed Plexiglas crystal, rendering it the most blatantly nostalgic of the two. The California dial, which combines Roman and Arabic numerals, is aesthetically pleasing and historically warranted. The dial is enhanced by beige Super-LumiNova and blue burnished steel hands, imparting a utilitarian aesthetic.
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01729 is driven by the hand-wound P.3000 calibre, a substantial movement influenced by historical Panerai designs. The twin-barrel configuration provides a power reserve of three days. Visible via a sapphire caseback encased in titanium, it is purposefully designed, authentic, and technically reliable.
The Platinum Radiomir PAM01730
Panerai
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01730 is a distinct, sophisticated variant. The case is constructed from Panerai Platinumtech, an alloy designed to enhance hardness and scratch resistance while preserving the weight and presence of platinum. The dial features a novel circular-brushed black sandwich construction, inscribed with a very imperceptible "Radiomir Panerai" engraving, reflecting the "secrecy" of early military models.
The PAM01730 is driven by the P.3001/10 calibre, a manually wound movement featuring skeletonised bridges and superior finishing. The perlage, open architecture, and power-reserve indicator on the reverse enhance its technical expressiveness.
