Vacheron Constantin has introduced three new variations of its Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin watch, honouring the lasting legacy of classical Haute Horlogerie as the Manufacture nears its 270th anniversary. The new models are presented in an elegant 36.5 mm casing, available in 18k 5N pink gold, 18k white gold, and a diamond-adorned white gold variant. This release also signifies the Maison's inaugural non-gem-set Traditionnelle timepieces in this reduced case size.

With a thickness of merely 8.43 mm, the timepieces exemplify Geneva's Haute Horlogerie legacy, harmonising technological expertise with enduring elegance. Their design elements – a stepped round case, fluted caseback, straight lugs, and slim bezel – honour the Maison’s classical legacy while maintaining a distinctly modern aesthetic.

The dial design highlights equilibrium and clarity, reflecting the esteemed Ref. 43031 from 1983. A silver-toned opaline backdrop features three symmetrically organised registers for calendar operations, enhanced with a moon phase display at 6 o’clock. Faceted Dauphine hands and attached baton-style hour markings enhance the classical design.

Each model presents nuanced distinctions: the pink gold variant combines tonal harmony with a dark blue moonphase and coordinating strap; the white gold edition juxtaposes pink gold hands and markers with a lighter blue moonphase and a light brown strap; whereas the diamond-adorned white gold model embraces a minimalist aesthetic, enhanced by grain-set diamonds and a dark blue strap.

The Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP, a self-winding movement known for its ultra-thin design and perpetual calendar complication, is central to these timepieces. The calibre consists of 276 components and automatically adjusts for leap years and unusual months, necessitating no manual correction until the year 2100. The movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, exhibits careful hand-finishing, with Côtes de Genève, hand-bevelled bridges, circular graining, and a 22k gold open-worked rotor in the form of the Maltese cross, highlighting Vacheron Constantin’s commitment to craftsmanship.
