The luxury watchmaker has released a 41mm Carrera glassbox, a sophisticated Split-Seconds model, and the tide-tracking Seafarer clock.

TAG Heuer has announced a significant extension of its premier Carrera range for 2026, drawing inspiration from a "Master of Chronograph" motif. The latest releases reconcile the disparity between traditional tool-watch functionality and luxury horology, showcasing a versatile 41mm glassbox dimension, a sophisticated split-seconds complication, and the reintroduction of the tide-tracking Seafarer, all revealed during LVMH Watch Week, the inaugural significant watch exhibition of 2026.
The foundation of the launch is the new 41mm Carrera Chronograph. This watch is created to provide a modern balance between the heritage-inspired 39mm version and the larger racing variants. It employs the glassbox design reintroduced in 2023, distinguished by a curved sapphire crystal that extends over the dial flange to enhance legibility. The 41mm series launches with three unique dial variations: a hallmark circular-brushed blue, a deep teal green, and a racing-themed black with red highlights. Each of the three variants is driven by the proprietary TH20-01 movement, providing an 80-hour power reserve and a vertical clutch for seamless chronograph functionality.

The firm has also unveiled the Carrera Split-Seconds Chronograph in the domain of haute horology. This is the inaugural instance of a rattrapante complication, enabling the simultaneous scheduling of two distinct events, being incorporated into the Carrera line. The watch is encased in a 42mm grade-5 titanium body and boasts a translucent sapphire dial that highlights the meticulous hand-finishing of the TH81-01 movement. This high-frequency movement, developed in partnership with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, operates at 5Hz and comprises over 350 components, many adorned with a distinctive hand-engraved checkered flag motif.
The brand's seafaring legacy experiences a notable resurgence with the Carrera Chronograph Seafarer. This 42mm timepiece, influenced by the mid-20th century Heuer Solunar and Seafarer models, features a specific tide indicator at the six o’clock position. Initially developed in 1949 for the American retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, the complication enables sailors to monitor high and low tidal cycles over a 29.5-day interval.

The Seafarer employs the TH20-04 automatic movement and showcases a colour scheme of Intrepid Teal and opaline champagne. This particular hue of teal commemorates the 1967 America’s Cup victor, the boat Intrepid. The 41mm Chronograph and the Seafarer feature a reimagined seven-row steel bracelet, a contemporary take on the classic beads-of-rice design that was characteristic of early Carrera models.
