In homage to Japanese beauty and traditional workmanship, Seiko introduces a new limited-edition Presage Classic timepiece, named “Shiracha.”

The reference features a case diameter of 40.2mm and is adorned with a smokey, gradated "Shiracha" colored dial. The hue, previously esteemed in the Edo period, exhibits a delicately textured surface reminiscent of supple Japanese silk. Simultaneously, its domed dial, contoured hands and indices, along with a bronze-plated case featuring knurled edges and a highly durable coating, combine vintage aesthetics with contemporary resilience.

This timepiece represents the Classic Series' inaugural use of a brown calf-leather strap, fashioned from ethically sourced, repurposed luxury shoe remnants and lined with the original high-quality shoe lining. Internally, Seiko’s proprietary 6R55 caliber ensures a daily precision of –15/+25 seconds, accompanied with a 72-hour power reserve.

The Seiko Presage Classic “Shiracha” Limited Edition is available in a numbered box and is restricted to 3,000 units globally. The watch is available for pre-order on the Seiko Boutique website. priced at £950 GBP (about $1,274 USD).
