Panerai has introduced a limited-edition Radiomir 8 Giorni timepiece, adorned with Chinese indicators to commemorate the forthcoming Lunar New Year. The watch, designated by the reference number PAM02088, honors the Ref. 3646 – one of the Maison’s most renowned timepieces – by reinterpreting its distinctive California dial.

The California dial, renowned for its unique combination of Roman and Arabic numbers, is reinterpreted here with a noteworthy modification: Chinese characters are featured at 4, 5, 7, and 8, while Roman numerals persist at 10, 11, 1, and 2. A black-to-anthracite gradient finish complements metallic blue burnished hands, produced via a controlled oxidation process, while beige Super-LumiNova® X1 guarantees visibility in low light conditions.

The PAM02088 is driven by Panerai’s P.5000 caliber, a hand-wound mechanical movement featuring an exceptional eight-day power reserve, a signature of the brand since the 1950s. The movement, visible through the sapphire transparent caseback, is designed for durability, with a traversing bridge that supports the balance wheel to improve chronometric stability.

The 45mm cushion-shaped case is constructed from Brunito Stainless Steel 1.4441 LVM, meticulously treated by hand to remove a black PVD coating, resulting in a unique, worn patina. The design is finalized with a dark green calf strap and a corresponding Brunito steel clasp, enhancing the robust yet sophisticated appearance.

The Radiomir 8 Giorni PAM02088, restricted to 300 units, will be released by Panerai in the Chinese market later this month. In December, the watch will also be available in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. A further release in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the Middle East is confirmed for January 2026.
