Oscar Isaac has finally joined the eagerly awaited (but untitled) Las Vegas drama series created by Martin Scorsese. The Netflix film, which examines the cutthroat industry of contemporary Las Vegas casinos, represents the inaugural significant title under a new creative collaboration between the streaming service and Isaac's Mad Gene production company.

The series is fundamentally supported by a formidable creative team headed by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The team, recognized for their contributions to Billions and Super Pumped, undertakes writing and executive producing responsibilities for the eight-episode season. The tale centers on Isaac’s character, Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, a casino president compelled to undertake perilous actions to safeguard his domain in a contemporary, perilous iteration of the metropolis.

The production parameters are enhanced by director J.C. Chandor, who is assigned to helm the initial two episodes. Chandor is also included among the executive producers, which included Scorsese through Sikelia Productions, Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn for Expanded Media, Paul Schiff, and Beth Schacter. The series is framed as a contemporary examination of the industry, departing from the period-piece aesthetics typically linked to the genre to emphasize the modern dynamics of the Las Vegas strip. This series represents the cornerstone of a comprehensive commercial agreement in which Netflix possesses first-look rights for film and series projects from Mad Gene, the firm led by Isaac alongside Elvira Lind and Gena Konstantinakos. The project is now commencing production, following a succession of prominent Netflix collaborations for Isaac, including BEEF Season 2 and the upcoming In the Hand of Dante.
