The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series formally redefines the assertive basis of the AMG SL platform, establishing itself as the most dynamic vehicle in Maybach's history. The open-top two-seater is expressly built as a high-end personal grand tourer, prioritising a smooth ride and superior aural finesse over raw track performance. Mercedes-Maybach plans to introduce the car in two exclusive design themes: “Red Ambience,” with a MANUFAKTUR Garnet Red Metallic base, and “White Ambience,” presented in Moonlight White Magno. The two versions are sharply differentiated by an Obsidian Black Metallic upper half, establishing a dominant visual impact.

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is differentiated from its conventional counterparts by unique cosmetic features. The front fascia has an illuminated, chrome-laden radiator grille crowned with a prominent hood ornament—a rarity among contemporary sports vehicles. Purchasers may select the hood to display a recurring Maybach logo pattern, necessitating a rigorous hand-sanding procedure that incorporates Graphite Grey printing behind layers of matte clear lacquer. Rose gold embellishments within the headlamps, substantial chrome detailing along the windscreen frame, and an option of custom 21-inch forged wheels in either a five-hole monoblock or multi-spoke configuration enhance the opulent exterior look.

Performance continues to be strong, despite the brand's emphasis on a tranquil driving experience. The roadster features a powerful 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 engine that generates 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, enabling an estimated acceleration to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. The maximum velocity is electrically restricted to 161 mph, but the remarkable engineering achievement is found in the comprehensive sound-dampening techniques employed. A tailored exhaust system, an extensive acoustic insulation package, and custom tuning for the suspension and engine mounts ensure the exceptional dynamic driving experience associated with the esteemed brand.

Within the interior, the luxury brand completely embraces its legacy of workmanship. Sustainably tanned, Crystal White Exclusive Nappa leather predominates the interior, enveloping the center console and door panels. The conventional back seats have been completely eliminated, instead with an aerodynamically crafted double scoop that enhances the vehicle's exquisite proportions when the top is retracted. Drivers encounter personalised start-up animations on the digital displays, stainless steel pedals, and a meticulously crafted interior that harmonises high-performance driving with unmistakable luxury.
