The latest interpretations elevate the brand’s signature single-hand design through layered surfaces and understated visual movement.

Although not the sole brand providing watches with a single-handed time display, MeisterSinger (established in 2001) uniquely centers its whole identity on this concept. Grounded on the foundational practices of early horology, prior to the prevalence of minutes and seconds on the dial, the brand's philosophy emphasises perception rather than precision. A more measured and intentional approach to the passage of time is particularly pertinent in contemporary society. The Pangaea has long been one of MeisterSinger’s most iconic collections, and this recent version features a dial that enhances the watch's depth and sophistication.

In 2026, the brand maintains the recognisable 40mm x 11.5mm stainless steel case, characterised by its gentle curvature and complete polish, incorporating a prominent fluted onion crown and a slender bezel, all protected by a sapphire crystal. The caseback is affixed with six screws and has a water resistance of 50 meters. A variant featuring a gold PVD-coated bezel is also offered, providing a more opulent aesthetic without substantially elevating the final cost. The dial configuration is characteristic of MeisterSinger’s design, with prominent two-digit hour numerals, precise markers for half and quarter hours, and dots for five-minute intervals. A more detailed examination, however, uncovers the progression. The dial surface of this new series features a meticulously textured design consisting of repeated fermatas, the musical symbol for pause, beside MeisterSinger’s insignia. The MeisterSinger Sun Wheel, recently showcased on the Panthero Jumping Hour, introduces a whimsical element. Situated above the 6 o’clock position, it completes a rotation every minute, not to denote time, but to illustrate its progression. As anticipated, it is propelled by the movement's little seconds shaft.

The new Pangaea is available in two primary colour options. A deep blue dial complemented by warm gold accents creates a traditional, dress-oriented aesthetic, with an optional gold PVD bezel to augment its prominence. A silver-grey dial featuring contrasting blue accents presents a cooler, more modern aesthetic. The timepiece is driven by the automatic Sellita SW261, a small second variation of the traditional SW200 architecture, observable through the transparent caseback. The movement functions at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 38 hours.

The new MeisterSinger Pangaea is affixed to calf leather straps featuring ostrich embossing in warm hues (cognac or dark brown), or in blue. The cost is EUR 2,590 for the full-steel editions or EUR 2,690 for the gold PVD bezel variant, both of which are readily available from the brand.
