Loewe Furniture Designed by Jonathan Anderson Premiered at Salone de Mobile 2017 in Milan

Loewe's involvement in the 2015 and 2016 Salone del Mobile received an exceptionally favorable reception. This year, the brand presents its most extensive participation to the international furniture expo in Milan.

LOEWE: THIS IS HOME, envisioned by creative director Jonathan Anderson, is a collection featuring distinctively crafted furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, and pillows. The works integrate several artistic forms and techniques in which Loewe excels, alongside the proficiency of chosen craft collaborators.

“It is a collage of diverse elements: canework, a star motif, English carpentry, and knitted murals.” I appreciate the concept of fashion permeating the family, uniting many artists to create innovative physical shapes and implement craftsmanship within a home. Anderson states, "This is the manner in which the Loewe character exists."

The line integrates aesthetics with utility. Anticipate chairs and a collection of benches influenced by American minimalism, circular wool carpets reminiscent of a starry night sky, handcrafted pottery containers from Spain featuring leather accents, an assortment of innovative blankets, lampshades, poufs, and versatile sheets fashioned from ultra-durable taurillon leather. A highlight is a collection of solid wood products designed by Anderson and crafted in Yorkshire, U.K., by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson, a fifth-generation furniture manufacturer renowned for the trademark mouse carved into each item he produces.

All pieces from the 2017 Salone project will be available for purchase, with certain items offered by special order.

The project will be showcased at the renowned London department store Liberty from May 1 to May 21, 2017, followed by exhibitions in Paris and Madrid. Loewe is introducing a limited series of totes and pouches adorned with the Salone collection's signature star symbol, available in retailers globally to commemorate the occasion.
