The Jazzmaster collection by Hamilton exemplifies the fusion of traditional horology and modern aesthetics, providing mechanical integrity devoid of superfluous embellishment. Hamilton broadens the Jazzmaster Open Heart collection, distinct from the skeleton variants, by offering an extensive array of dial colours in three sizes to accommodate a diverse clientele. The Open Heart concept is familiar to Hamilton, yet it continues to be one of the most cohesive implementations in the accessible Swiss market. The Jazzmaster Open Heart is crafted not merely for aesthetic appeal but to engage the wearer with its mechanics; it serves as a daily reminder that a mechanical watch is a dynamic entity, encouraging exploration of its functionality and fostering a respect for mechanical heritage.

The new Jazzmaster Open Heart series includes models in 36mm, 40mm, and 42mm to accommodate various wrist sizes and preferences. All variants possess a same stainless-steel case design, featuring brushed surfaces and polished highlights for a subtle yet sophisticated appearance. The thickness ranges from approximately 10mm to just over 11mm, contingent upon size, enabling the watch to rest pleasantly while maintaining sufficient prominence for daily use. A sapphire crystal featuring an anti-reflective coating safeguards the dial, and the watch is rated for 50m water resistance, adequate for both formal and casual occasions.

Hamilton persistently utilises its hallmark Open Heart aperture on the dial, showcasing the balance wheel and several other components in motion. It is not a complete skeleton, nor does it claim to be; it is an aperture that maintains both symmetry and readability.

Recent dial implementations have smokey gradient finishes in silver, gold-toned, deep blue, turquoise, and brown varieties, establishing unique identities throughout the collection. Indices and faceted hands, enhanced with Super-LumiNova, guarantee visibility in low-light conditions. The variations in texture and tone merit closer examination; experience the tranquillity if you decide to engage in this activity.

All Jazzmaster Open Heart models are powered by Hamilton’s H-10 automatic movement (Powermatic 80), which is derived from the ETA C07.111, itself originating from the ETA 2824. Functioning at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it provides an 80-hour power reserve and is designed for dependability and everyday utilisation. The Nivachron balancing spring improves resistance to magnetism, temperature fluctuations, and impacts. An exhibition caseback provides visibility of the movement, which is executed in an industrial yet authentic style, aligning with the watch's posture.

The Jazzmaster Open Heart is available with a five-row stainless-steel bracelet featuring a folding clasp or with leather straps, which vary from patinated calfskin to pristine white leather. The collection is included in Hamilton’s permanent catalogue; certain references are currently accessible, while others will be unveiled in May 2026. Prices commence at CHF 920 for the 36mm Jazzmaster Open Heart; the 40mm and 42mm variants begin at CHF 995 and escalate to CHF 1,075, contingent upon the selection of a leather strap or steel bracelet.
