ELOREA, a modern Korean perfumery based in New York, has unveiled its latest collection, “Resonance,” a four-part fragrance series that reinterprets Korea’s rich olfactory legacy in a contemporary manner. Created in partnership with four acclaimed perfumers, each fragrance is inspired by Korean cultural traditions and natural elements, while also embodying the many international heritages of its creators.

“Bae Frais,” authored by Shyamala Maisondieu, extols the refreshing sweetness of the Korean pear, harmoniously combined with bergamot, orange blossom, and tonka bean, resulting in a radiant yet soothing fragrance. “Silk Bouquet,” crafted by Rodrigo Flores-Roux, honors the esteemed Korean tradition of silk flower artistry, commencing with Korean watermelon blossom and magnolia, then revealing iris, narcissus, and tuberose, anchored by patchouli and vetiver.

“Cloud Daze,” created by Linda Song, reinterprets the creamy smoothness of makgeolli rice wine, harmonizing juniper, jasmine sambac, and cognac with vanilla, rice, and dalgona for a subtle, captivating gourmand experience. Finally, “Royal Resin,” created by Gaël Montero, serves as a contemporary homage to chimhyang namu — the oud historically revered in Korean palaces – amalgamating citron, raspberry, and myrrh with incense and Korean birch for a contemplative conclusion.

The collection encapsulates ELOREA’s objective to link fragrance with both origin and essence, ranging from the ethereal florals of “Silk Bouquet” to the resinous depth of “Royal Resin,” the vibrant fruitiness of “Bae Frais,” and the gourmand warmth of “Cloud Daze.” The brand highlights gender-neutral, vegan formulas produced in limited quantities using premium Korean products, devoid of hazardous synthetics. The scents are offered in various volumes, from 2 ml travel-sized samples costing $10 to 100 ml full bottles priced at $240.
