Chloé Creative Director Chemena Kamali has been acclaimed for rejuvenating the brand's hallmark nostalgic, bohemian aesthetic since her inaugural ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2024, which featured flowing dresses and abundant ruffles. It was a revival of the adventurous spirit that defined the House in the 1970s. This unique release may be one of the House's most whimsical and enticing creations: the Tomato Chair.

This is not the inaugural instance of fresh vegetables and furniture exerting a combined influence. The Tomato Chair was first launched in 1970 by French designer Christian Adam in collaboration with the Italian manufacturer Poltronova, a Tuscan workshop renowned for its unique craftsmanship. Kamali reintroduces the unconventional home decor item during Milan Design Week, this time via the perspective of Chloé. The design immediately aligns with the Maison’s free-spirited ethos due to its organic, gestural form; ultimately, the Tomato Chair integrates effortlessly with the brand as it embodies a lightheartedness. In this exclusive release, Kamali poses the question, “Why can't your home decor be as expressive as your clothing?”

The Tomato Chairs will be available for viewing at the Chloé Milan boutique (Via della Spiga 30, Milan) from April 22 to April 26.
